Photography has been a part of my life for almost as long as I can remember.  I was THAT person...the one with the camera constantly pointed in your face.  I worked in various print labs, just to be involved with photography and printing.

My hobby took a serious turn when I discovered a professional photography program, and I went to college at the age of 23...sure I would be the oldest person there.  It was an amazing 2 years, and I learned as much as I possibly could about the technicalities of exposure, of composition, of posing.  I graduated with honors, and was awarded the top portrait portfolio of the graduating class.

Documenting life as it happens is a huge thrill for me.  Weddings, brand new babies, my own children going about their daily lives. Those moments pass so quickly and capturing them is the most wonderful way to preserve them forever.

My photography leans toward the photojournalism style...I love capturing moments as they happen, with as little direction from me as possible.  I will take several posed, of course, but I love capturing the more natural poses and expressions....children interacting with each other, a groom teasing his new bride, the love on the face of a new mother gazing at her infant.  I find these type of images extremely rewarding.

It gives me great joy for someone to share with me the special moments of their life, and trusting me to capture them through photography.   Thank you for taking the time to view my  website.
